The Irvine Fine Arts Center received an international marketing award from Learning Resources Network during the group’s annual conference Thursday in San Diego.
LERN is the national association of community education programmers. Nominations were received from across the United States, as well as from Canada, England and New Zealand.
Artbeat, the art center’s 34-page quarterly publication, received the marketing award for “Best Course Catalog.”
The publication was redesigned two years ago. The center’s revenue increased more than $40,000 in the first year after the new format was introduced and more than $29,000 the second year.
Toni McDonald Pang, editor-in-chief of Artbeat, attended the conference and accepted the award on behalf of the art center and the city.
