O.C. Is Rockin’ for a Cause

The holiday season is at hand, and with it the annual round of weekend benefit concerts at Linda’s Doll Hut in Anaheim, showcasing some of the top roots- and alternative-rock talents on the Orange County scene.

Lit, Burnin’ Groove, Liquorfish and D/Railed play a rock show Friday, and P-Town Pubsters, Mr. Mirainga, Thump and All the Madmen offer more rock Dec. 13, with proceeds both nights going to the Orange County chapter of the Red Cross.

Lee Rocker and Sun Demons play rockabilly and roots-rock Dec. 19, and CH3, Knockout, Large Hardware and Sorry Charlie play punk rock Dec. 20, with proceeds for the weekend going to the Musician’s Assistance Program.

Rule 62, One Hit Wonder, Gameface and Curb make for a high-powered alterna-rock show Dec. 26. And Dec. 27 is eclectic night with the Ziggens, the Torquays and James Intveld representing alternative, traditional surf music and roots and country approaches. The weekend’s proceeds go to the Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange.
