Man Fatally Shot Outside Restaurant

A man who quarreled with an acquaintance was fatally shot outside a restaurant Thursday, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 4:35 p.m. at Taco Naco, 6802 1/2 San Fernando Road, in a strip mall. The victim had not yet been positively identified Thursday night, Glendale Police Sgt. Rick Young said.

The gunman fired five shots, hitting the victim several times in the chest, Young said. The victim stumbled about 100 feet to a liquor store at the other end of the mall and collapsed in the doorway, Young said.

Police were seeking a suspect, identified as Adrian Ramirez Gutierrez, 38, of Los Angeles. He is described as about 5 feet, 4 inches and about 150 pounds. He was driving a white, two-door 1986 Toyota MR2 with California license plate 2NQH031.
