Billy Holmes rushed for three scores and a Division II title-game record 195 yards as Northern Colorado (13-2) won its second consecutive championship, 51-0, over New Haven (12-2) at Florence, Ala. It was the biggest blowout in the history of the Division II title game. . . . In the Division III championship, Bill Borchert threw for 411 yards and six touchdowns as Mount Union defeated Lycoming, 61-12, at Salem, Va., to win its second consecutive Stagg Bowl. Mount Union finished 14-0 for the second consecutive year, outscoring opponents by an average score of 54-8. Mount Union has won three national titles in five years. Lycoming finishes 12-1.

McNeese State of Lake Charles, La., and Youngstown State of Ohio will meet for the Division I-AA championship at Chattanooga, Tenn., after scoring semifinal victories. Shonz LaFrenz kicked a 31-yard field goal with five seconds left to give McNeese State (13-1) a 23-21 victory over Delaware (12-2) at Newark, Del., and give Adrian Brown rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns in leading Youngstown (12-2) to a 25-14 victory over Eastern Washington (12-2) at Spokane, Wash.
