Sandy Papazian has been named director of studio operations at Ray-Art Film Studios in Woodland Hills. Papazian will be in charge of the studio’s daily operations, including scheduling.

Previously, Papazian was a producer on various TV movies for CBS and NBC.

* Electronics industry veteran Carm J. Santoro has been named to the board of directors of ComCore Semiconductor Inc., a new concern that develops integrated circuits. ComCore is based in Calabasas.

Santoro has worked in the high-technology industry for 30 years, including serving as chairman of the board for Ashton Tate, AST Research and Silicon Systems.

* Warner Bros. has promoted Chris Adelmann to executive vice president of Warner Bros. International Theatres.

He will help oversee the development and operations of the company’s film businesses overseas. Adelmann joined Warner Bros. last year after a stint as director of worldwide business development for Hard Rock Cafe International. He has also worked as an executive for Bankers Trust’s London global merchant banking group and as a management consultant in Luxembourg.

* 20th Century Industries has promoted Paul Farber as its executive vice president. Farber, 46, formerly had been a group vice president.

Farber, who has worked at the company since 1984, is now in charge of 20th Century’s claims, human resources, marketing and information services. 20th Century Industries is the Woodland Hills-based parent company of 20th Century Insurance, a leading auto insurer in the state.

* Cal State Northridge has named four local business executives to the Dean’s Council of Business Advisors in the College of Business Administration and Economics.

Anthony Palma, president of Easton Sports Inc.; Peter Schwab, president of Foothill Capital Corp.; Ronald Consiglio, chief executive at Angeles Mortgage Investment Trust, and Ronald Friedman, managing partner for Stonefield Josephson, were named as advisors. All four executives are CSUN graduates.

The university now has 34 business executives who provide advice in helping to shape the academic programs at CSUN’s College of Business Administration and Economics.

* John Tarca has been appointed manager of the Oxnard branch of Channel Islands National Bank, located at 155 S. A St. Tarca has been a banker for 35 years, most recently with Home Federal Bank and Great Western Bank.

The Oxnard branch is one of three Channel Islands National Bank offices, all of which are in Ventura County.

* Ted Morgan, director of recruitment at ITT Technical Institute in Oxnard, has been chosen 1997 Recruitment Director of the Year for ITT Educational Services Inc.

The 490-student Oxnard campus offers a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication engineering and associate degrees in electronics engineering and computer-aided drafting.

ITT Educational Services, with headquarters in Indianapolis, operates 63 schools in 27 states.
