UC Irvine has announced two appointments in programs that provide key services to students: the Student Health Center and the Counseling Center.
Dr. Alice Wong, a physician at the Student Health Center, has been named chief of the center’s medical clinics; William Chien has been appointed as a psychologist at the Counseling Center.
As chief of the Student Health Center’s medical clinics, Wong will oversee physicians, nurses and other health care professionals who provide services to students, from emergency medical care to pharmacy service and health education.
The Counseling Center includes a diverse staff of psychologists who help students confront and manage the stresses of their academic and personal lives.
