San Antonio’s dominating duo of David Robinson and Tim Duncan put an end to the Indiana Pacers’ six-game winning streak Tuesday.

Robinson scored a season-high 39 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and had three blocked shots and Duncan had 18 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Spurs to their sixth victory in a row, 91-79, at San Antonio.

They are the only teammates in the league averaging double figures in points and rebounds.

“David and Tim are great players, they rebounded, scored and passed the ball well again tonight,” San Antonio Coach Gregg Popovich said. “But two guys don’t play defense or make a basketball team. Five guys acted well together out there on offense and defense.”

Reggie Miller scored 25 points to lead Indiana. Rik Smits scored 14.

Minnesota 112, Seattle 103--Stephon Marbury scored 35 points, including eight three-point baskets, as the Timberwolves won at Seattle to end an NBA-record 26-game losing streak to the SuperSonics.

Seattle’s streak against Minnesota over six seasons is a record by one team against another.

Gary Payton led the Sonics with 27 points.

Cleveland 99, Dallas 85--The rookie trio of Derek Anderson, Cedric Henderson and Brevin Knight led the Cavaliers past the Mavericks at Cleveland.

Anderson scored a season-high 24 points, Henderson had a season-high 20 and Knight had 14 points and 15 assists.

Michael Finley scored 29 for Dallas, which lost its 10th consecutive game.

Boston 102, Charlotte 96--Ron Mercer had career-highs of 28 points and eight rebounds as the Celtic bench made up for Antoine Walker’s poor shooting.

Walker, who led the Celtics in scoring in 19 of their first 24 games, made only three of 21 shots. But Dana Barros scored 18 points and even Greg Minor--the last player on the bench--scored four as the Celtic reserves outscored Charlotte’s, 58-17.
