Pat Terry delivered the winning kick in a shootout and the Canyon High boys’ soccer team upset Reseda on Monday in the semifinals of the Hart tournament.

Terry’s shot gave the Cowboys (8-3) a 5-4 edge in the shootout and a berth in today’s championship game against Palmdale. Canyon and Reseda tied in regulation, 2-2.

For Canyon, which failed to qualify for the Southern Section playoffs last season, the victory indicates they are much improved.
