SPARKS TONIGHT
Opponent--Cleveland Rockers.
Site--Forum.
Time--7:30.
Records--Sparks 3-4, Rockers 1-5.
Update--After the Sparks beat the Rockers in Cleveland on Thursday, the Rockers’ Janice Lawrence Braxton complained about the officiating, implying WNBA officials were protecting Los Angeles’ Lisa Leslie. It’s a violation of league rules to criticize officials, and a league official said Braxton’s remarks were under review. The Sparks’ 74-62 victory was the lone win on the three-game trip. Coach Linda Sharp hopes guard Tamecka Dixon can play tonight. She turned an ankle in the 78-66 loss at Charlotte on Saturday. Sharp also wants better defense near the basket on Cleveland’s 6-foot-5 Isabelle Fijalkowski, who drove by the Sparks’ 6-8 Zheng Haixia several times in their previous meeting.
