Neighbor Finds Dead Man in Pool

A 35-year-old man was found drowned Monday morning in the pool of his apartment complex in the 9100 block of Cerritos Avenue, authorities said.

The body of Carlos Silva, dressed in street clothes, was seen by a fellow resident who called police at about 7:45 a.m., Lt. Ron Wilkerson of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.

Paramedics were called, but Silva was dead at the scene, Wilkerson said.

There were no obvious signs of foul play, nor did a Monday afternoon autopsy yield any suspicious findings, Wilkerson said. An investigation into the death continues, and toxicology tests are pending, he said.
