Long Beach Man’s Body Found at Lake Piru
The body of a Long Beach man who disappeared after diving off a rented boat in Lake Piru on the Fourth of July was found Tuesday evening, authorities said.
“The body found in the lake today was the drowning victim from Friday,” Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. John Miller said.
Liborio Dominguez dove into the water in an effort to save his daughter, who fell off the family’s rented boat shortly before 1 p.m., witnesses said. Although the child was quickly rescued, Dominguez failed to resurface. Sheriff’s Department divers searched for the man throughout the weekend.
Details about how and where Dominguez’s body was found were not immediately available.
