Area to Get First Stoplight at Intersection Near School
Installation of Topanga’s first stoplight will begin next month, a Caltrans official said Wednesday.
The new metered light at the intersection of Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Topanga School Road will be triggered during peak school drop-off and pickup hours, making the intersection safer for students at Topanga Elementary School and for the people who drive them, Caltrans spokeswoman Pat Reid said.
The $82,000 project, which includes installing safety lighting and sidewalk access ramps, will be completed by October, Reid said.
