Ruth Siegel Singer, a longtime San Fernando Valley resident and daughter of Republic Pictures founder Morris J. Siegel, has died.

Singer died Monday of chronic renal failure at her Tarzana home, according to her son, Michael Singer of Calabasas. She was 63.

A Valley resident for 35 years, Singer attended Los Angeles Community College before working at Famous Artists Agency. More than 300 people attended Singer’s funeral services, which were held Wednesday at Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary.
