Pitcher Ben McDonald was put on the 15-day disabled list by the Milwaukee Brewers Saturday because of a sore right shoulder.
Manager Phil Garner said McDonald, who has an 8-7 record and 4.06 earned-run average, appears to have tendinitis, and will miss at least one start.
Catcher Kelly Stinnett was recalled from triple-A Tucson, where he had been sent two days earlier.

The Brewers signed right-handed pitcher Kyle Peterson of Stanford, their first-round draft choice, to a $1.4-million contract and assigned him to Ogden of the Class-A Pioneer League.

Scott Bird, 24, has accused Boston Red Sox first baseman Mo Vaughn of punching him during an argument.
The altercation allegedly took place in the doorway of Tiffany’s Cabaret, a nude dance club in Cleveland, at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, said police Sgt. Mark Hastings.
A decision regarding charges won’t be made until Monday.
