Corey Parker hit two home runs to lead the Vigilantes to a 17-8 victory over Bend in a Western Baseball League game in a Saturday night game at Vince Genna Stadium in Bend, Ore.

Parker and Sam Taylor each had three-run home runs in the first inning as the Vigilantes jumped out to a 6-0 lead. Both homers came after Bandit shortstop Andres Duncan booted a double-play ball with one out. Taylor followed that with his 13th home run of the season. After two Vigilante singles, Parker hit his first home run of the night and the Vigilantes never looked back.

Parker was four for four with five runs batted in. Taylor had two home runs and five RBIs.

Vigilante pitcher Mike Smith threw well again as he recorded his eighth consecutive game in which he has given up fewer than three runs. Smith pitched seven innings, giving up eight hits and two runs. He struck out six to improve his record to 5-3.
