STINGRAYS TODAY
Opponent--Columbus Quest.
Site--Battelle Hall, Columbus, Ohio.
Time--1 p.m. PST.
Records--Columbus 6-2, Long Beach 5-2.
Update--The StingRays again play the only team to soundly defeat them, the defending ABL champions. Columbus hammered Long Beach, 98-72, at the Pyramid last week, but since then the StingRays have registered two road blowouts, Philadelphia on Thursday, 90-72, then Atlanta, 85-71, on Friday. The team will have to do without center Venus Lacy the rest of the trip. She flew to Ruston, La., on Saturday with team trainer Meredith Hamel to see the physician who treated her last spring after she suffered a head injury in a car accident. She suffered a concussion in the Philadelphia game and was hospitalized for two nights.
