Columbus Extends Win Streak
Katie Smith and Tonya Edwards each scored 16 points to lead the Columbus Quest (8-2) past the Colorado Xplosion, 66-51, Friday in front of an announced 3,112.
It was Columbus’ sixth consecutive victory. Meanwhile, the 51 points is the lowest point total Colorado (3-6) has had.
Philadelphia 85, Atlanta 76--Rookie La’Keshia Frett scored 20 points as the Rage defeated the Glory (3-7). in front of an announced 3,424 at Philadelphia.
The victory stopped a three-game losing streak for Philadelphia (5-4), which went on an 11-2 run in the middle of the fourth quarter to take control of the game.
San Jose 79, Portland 71--Charlotte Smith scored 19 to lead the Lasers (3-7) to an upset in front of an announced 3,597 at San Jose. Former UCLA star Natalie Williams scored 20 for the Power (7-2).
