Ahman Green rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns and Scott Frost accounted for three scores as No. 3 Nebraska defeated Iowa State, 77-14, on Saturday at Lincoln, Neb.

The Cornhuskers, 10-0 overall and 7-0 in the Big 12 Conference, resumed their machine-like offensive efficiency and defensive domination a week after escaping with a 45-38 overtime victory at Missouri.

Nebraska needed less than five minutes to blow the game open against Iowa State (1-9, 1-6).

On the Cornhuskers’ first possession, Green blasted through Iowa State for an 18-yard touchdown to complete a four-play, 51-yard drive. After three plays by the Cyclones, Nebraska freshman Bobby Newcombe returned a punt 53 yards for a touchdown.

Cyclone quarterback Todd Bandhauer, who failed to complete his first seven throws, threw three incomplete passes on the ensuing possession to prompt another punt.

Iowa State didn’t let Newcombe return this one, hitting him before the ball arrived. After a 15-yard penalty for the early hit, Green broke free on the next play for a 49-yard touchdown run with 10:19 left in the first quarter.

Green, who has broken the 100-yard barrier in nine consecutive games, scored again on a four-yard run for a 28-0 lead and finished the first quarter with 92 yards in six carries.

The onslaught continued until the Cornhuskers had built a 63-7 halftime lead.

No. 10 Kansas State 37, Colorado 20--Michael Bishop threw for 156 yards and one touchdown and the Wildcats defeated the Buffaloes for the first time since 1984 at Manhattan, Kan.

Kansas State (9-1, 6-1) is on the verge of its first 10-victory regular season since 1910. The Wildcats, who had been 0-11-1 against Colorado, finish next week at Iowa State.

Colorado (5-5, 3-4) will have to defeat No. 3 Nebraska in its regular-season finale on Nov. 28 to avoid its first losing season in 14 years.

No. 18 Texas A&M; 51, Oklahoma 7--The Aggies assured themselves a spot in the Big 12 title game, getting 139 yards and three touchdowns from Dante Hall at Norman, Okla.

Hall scored on runs two, four and 60 yards, and linebacker Dat Nguyen returned a fumble for a touchdown as the Aggies (8-2, 5-2) scored the third-most points by a visiting team in Norman.

Oklahoma (3-8, 1-6) has lost eight games for the second straight year.

Texas Tech 27, No. 21 Oklahoma State 3--Ricky Williams rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown and the Red Raider defense stifled the Cowboys at Stillwater, Okla.

Williams’ two-yard touchdown in the second quarter turned out to be all the offense the Red Raiders (6-4, 5-2) needed. Williams carried six times as the Red Raiders drove 56 yards in nine plays.

Oklahoma State (7-3, 4-3) scored only once, on a 24-yard field goal by Tim Sydnes early in the fourth quarter that pulled the Cowboys to within 13-3.
