The seven-member council will nominate and then vote for candidates for the two top positions, part of an annual change.
Official nominations will be made at the beginning of the meeting. Unofficially, council members said they expect Mayor Pro Tem Thomas C. Edwards to be nominated for mayor and Councilman Dennis D. O’Neil to be nominated for mayor pro tem.
The City Council meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 3300 W. Newport Blvd. Information: (714) 644-3309.
