Ganesha Keeps La Quinta Winless With Rout
James Johnson scored two first-quarter touchdowns and Pomona Ganesha rolled to a 46-15 victory over La Quinta Thursday at Mt. San Antonio College.
Johnson scored on runs of four and 53 yards as the Giants (1-5)built a 38-point halftime lead.
The Giants’ defense, which shut out La Quinta in the first half, had seven sacks, five of which came in the first quarter.
La Quinta (0-6) finally scored when Ben Fredrickson caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Huy Huyhn with 9 minutes 40 seconds left in the third quarter.
Ganesha quarterback Roger Cruz added a 71-yard touchdown run and extended the Giants’ lead to 46-8.
Huyhn’s second touchdown pass to Fredrickson, this one of 11 yards, ended the scoring.
