Shame on ABC for ‘Nothing’
The new ABC series “Nothing Sacred” glorifies ultraliberal radicals and vilifies ultraconservatives as foolish. Worse, it ignores the middle folks, the vast majority of the faithful, as if we did not exist.
In a recent episode, the liberal priest asks a pregnant teen to make her own choice concerning an abortion. Then the older and quite grumpy priest suggests an adoption choice. But when she chooses abortion, he reminds her of hell’s fire. Neither man counsels her on the alternatives offered by so many Christian agencies, such as maternity residences, etc.
Catholic and Protestant volunteers numbering in the millions wonder what else [the producers at] Disney will do to distort reality. We hope that a boycott of sponsors’ products will help Disney to reform itself. Despite [chairman Michael] Eisner’s denial, we know that many sponsors have already withdrawn financial support.
God will not be mocked--ever!
