Boy, 5, Is Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver
A 5-year-old boy was killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday evening in South-Central Los Angeles, authorities said.
The child was struck by a car about 6 p.m. in the 100 block of West 112th Street, city fire spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
The boy’s pulse stopped as he was being taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, Humphrey said.
The boy was later pronounced dead, and Los Angeles police are searching for an early 1980s model Buick Riviera described as tan with a darker vinyl top, Los Angeles Police Officer Eduardo Fuentes said.
