Chapman Student Wins State Crown

Amanda O’Leary, 18, has won the Miss California Teen USA crown and will represent the state in the Miss Teen USA pageant next summer.
She won the state title last month after competing in the swimsuit, interview and evening gown contest. The Fullerton resident said she hopes to use her position to inspire young people to achieve their goals.
“I want to excite young adults to have an optimistic attitude,” O’Leary said. “It’s important that people believe they have the ability to succeed at anything they desire.”
O’Leary is an advertising student at Chapman University in Orange. She graduated last spring from Rosary High School in Fullerton.
