Man Critical After Drive-By Shooting
A drive-by shooting on East Pleasant Valley Road left a young man in critical condition Thursday night with a gunshot wound to the arm, authorities said.
The shooting happened about 6:20 p.m. near Saviers Road. Paramedics found the unidentified man on the ground, bleeding from a single gunshot wound to the right biceps, said Greg Petersen, a paramedic with Gold Coast Ambulance.
The victim was taken to St. John’s Hospital in critical condition, Petersen said.
The man told authorities he was walking on Pleasant Valley Road when someone fired a shot from a passing car. Police were searching for the gunman Thursday evening.
