It’s Easy Night for Quest in Colorado

Valerie Still scored 17 points as the Columbus Quest defeated the Colorado Xplosion, 73-62, Thursday night before 2,052 at McNichols Arena in Denver.

Tonya Edwards added 16 points and Shannon Johnson 13 for the defending ABL champion Quest (2-1), who improved to 5-0 all-time against Colorado.

The Quest jumped to a 6-0 lead and never trailed. They led, 24-13, after one quarter and opened a 16-point lead early in the third quarter.

Colorado (1-3) closed to within 55-54 with nine minutes left in the game, but Columbus scored the next nine points.
