It wasn’t all bad for Santa Ana Valley (1-6,0-2). The Falcons, down, 17-0, put together a 10-play, 78-yard drive before Spartan strong safety Wann intercepted Falcon quarterback Rolando Ramirez’s pass in the end zone.

In the second half, Santa Ana Valley scored on drives of 73, 38 and 84 yards and held the Spartans in check.

Ramirez threw for 177 yards and receiver Koa Bartlett caught four passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
