In the year since he turned pro, Tiger Woods has brought more than $650 million to golf through ticket and merchandise sales, heftier TV contracts for airing events, and his own record-setting endorsement deals. Ticket sales at events where Woods played this year rose as much as 35% and concession and souvenir sales jumped 28%. CBS Sports saw its golf ratings surge by 24%. Woods’ five-year endorsement deals with Nike, Titleist, American Express and Rolex are worth $95.2 million. His part-ownership of the Official All-Star Cafe, ties to Golf Digest and Sportsline and book deal with Warner Books push the value of his endorsements beyond $100 million. People involved in golf are waiting to see whether Tigermania continues to grow in Year 2.
