Four Oxnard teenagers were in Ventura County Juvenile Hall on Monday in connection with a six-hour crime spree, police said.

The series of crimes began at 7 p.m. Saturday when an Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen from the 400 block of Julian Street, an Oxnard police spokesman said.

After riding around in the car, the youths allegedly robbed Salvador Felix Gonzales at knifepoint in the 600 block of South Oxnard Boulevard, the spokesman said.

From there, the youths are suspected of breaking into a car in the 1300 block of Edgewood Way. While they were driving away, police said they rammed a parked car. The youths jumped out and ran, but were spotted shortly afterward hiding in a carport and were arrested by Oxnard police. Some of the suspected stolen merchandise was found on the youths, the spokesman said.

All four were booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of auto theft, burglary, robbery, hit and run, and possession of burglary tools, the spokesman said. The youths’ names were not released because of their ages.
