Brighter Days Ahead on Harbor Boulevard

Share

Lighted directional signs will start popping up all over Harbor Boulevard in the next two months as part of a plan to brighten downtown Fullerton.

One of the signs has been on display at Heroes Bar for public view and review for the past several months. City officials said all comments received so far have been supportive.

Under the $238,000 plan, lights above the sidewalks will be lowered, new lights will be placed on the bases of floss silk trees in the medians and brighter bulbs will be installed. Later, the lighted directional signs will be placed in other locations downtown.

At today’s City Council meeting, officials are expected to find funding for other parts of the improvement project: making a bus turn-out lane at Harbor and Chapman Avenue and installing grates at the bases of the sidewalk trees.
