Higher Gas Prices
If the Cohens (letter, Sept. 17) think gas prices are high in L.A., they should come to Santa Barbara, where the oil companies really stick it to us! We are hard pressed to find gas as cheap as $1.48. It is more likely to be $1.58 and way up from there. It is an outrage! Sure wish we could boycott the oil companies and hurt their business, but, unfortunately, we Californians are too dependent on our cars, and they know it.
