Valentino L. Cabana Sr.; 21-Year County Resident
Valentino L. Cabana Sr. of Oxnard died Wednesday . He was 87.
Cabana was born July 25, 1910, in Surigao City, Philippines, and was a 21-year resident of Ventura County.
He was treasurer of the Fil-Am Senior Citizens of Ventura County and a longtime member of Santa Clara Church in Oxnard.
Cabana is survived by three daughters, Beatriz Cabana, Julie Valencerina and Evelyn Perez, all of Oxnard; a brother, Felix, of the Philippines, and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dominga, in 1984.
A funeral Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Santa Clara Church. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
