Laguna Hills 49, Burbank 8--The Bulldogs (0-3) were penalized 12 times for 130 yards and could not overcome three turnovers against Laguna Hills (3-0) at Mission Viejo High.

Mike Jones of Laguna Hills ran for 105 in 22 carries and scored on runs of six and 10 yards. Teammate Sai Makakausaki touched the ball only twice and scored both times on a 39-yard pass play and a 61-yard run.

Burbank’s lone score came on Vardan Mkhitarian’s three-yard run with 1:45 remaining in the game. Juni Williams, who ran for the conversion, rushed for 44 yards in eight carries and carried only one time in the second half.

Burbank was limited to 101 yards.
