Another 40-point outing from Michael Jordan and another runaway second half Sunday added up to a victory at Houston that gave the Chicago Bulls the longest winning streak in the NBA this season.

“We have a lot of turmoil on this team, but when we get on the court everything is fine,” Dennis Rodman said after the Bulls upped their winning streak to 12 games with a 109-94 victory over the slumping Houston Rockets.

The Bulls stayed on track for the NBA’s best regular-season record and home-court advantage through the playoffs.

“Rhythm is everything,” Jordan said, “that and cohesion. That’s what we have.”

Boston 102, New York 92--The Celtics opened a 28-point lead four minutes into the second quarter at Boston, led by at least 10 the rest of the way and handed the Knicks their fourth loss in five games.

Sacramento 105, Dallas 99--The Kings snapped a 12-game losing streak as seldom-used guard Chris Robinson, replacing the injured Mitch Richmond, scored a career-high 22 points at Sacramento. Robinson shot nine for 15 as Richmond sat out because of a sore knee.

Utah 99, Vancouver 93--Karl Malone scored 11 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter as the Jazz hung on at Vancouver, Canada.

Malone, who shot 10 for 16 from the field, also had six assists and five rebounds.

Philadelphia 116, Toronto 104--Allen Iverson scored 36 points as the 76ers recorded their highest point total of the season against the undermanned Raptors at Philadelphia.

Indiana 93, Milwaukee 92--The Pacers tied the franchise’s NBA-era record with their 52nd victory of the season, defeating the Bucks when Michael Curry missed a last-second jumper at Indianapolis.

Minnesota 97, Atlanta 96--Stephon Marbury, playing in the city where he dazzled as a collegian, flipped in a shot with 23 seconds left to help the Timberwolves rally at Atlanta.

The Hawks’ Dikembe Mutombo came up short on a eight-foot hook shot with three seconds left and the horn sounded while Blaylock and Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett battled for the loose ball.

Washington 88, Orlando 85--Rod Strickland had his third triple-double of the season and Derek Harper missed a tying three-pointer with six seconds left at Washington.

Seattle 87, Denver 83--Vin Baker scored 21 points, including two baskets in the final minute, as the SuperSonics struggled at Denver, but kept the Nuggets at nine victories.

The Nuggets (9-66) have seven games remaining to get one victory, which would guarantee they won’t equal the worst record in NBA history, Philadelphia’s 9-73 mark in 1972-73.
