It’s no yolk! Kids can search for dino-sized Easter eggs at the Natural History Museum’s Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt. The first 50 children ages 4 to 10 at each session will hunt for eggs, win prizes and receive free child’s admission to the Natural History Museum, the Page Museum at La Brea Tar Pits or the Petersen Automotive Museum. After the dino egg hunt, families can learn more about the prehistoric creatures in the museum’s “Dinosaurs!” exhibit and dig for fossils in a working paleontology lab.

Few instruments travel as well between pop and jazz as the guitar and the saxophone, and this double-bill of “smooth” jazz artists sponsored by radio station 94.7 KTWV--The Wave proves it. Featured are longtime Luther Vandross guitarist Doc Powell, who spices his play with R&B; touches, and Hawaiian-born saxophonist Michael Paulo, whose sound is equal parts island sunshine and urban soul. The Cuban American Cultural Festival kicks off with “A Night to Remember,” featuring performances by Lazaro Galarraga and his ensemble of Afro-Cuban dancers, Paquito D’Rivera and his quintet, and tributes to percussionist Chano Pozo, actor Andy Garcia and bandleader Israel Lopez. The festival, presented by the Redondo Beach Cuban American Cultural Institute, continues Sunday with an art exhibition of international and local Cuban artists opening at the La Mirada Art Gallery, and in the coming weeks with literary conferences, concerts, carnivals and film screenings.

Poet Kamau Daaood is the voice and conscience of South-Central’s creative community, not only an artist in his own right but a behind-the-scenes force for creative opportunity in Leimert Park and beyond. Here he joins with An Army of Healers, a nine-piece ensemble including flutist James Newton, saxophonist Michael Session, pianist Horace Tapscott and vocalist Dwight Trible to raise funds for various Crenshaw-based arts organizations.
