Scholarship Fund Honors Late Professor
A memorial scholarship fund has been established in honor of former Santa Ana College professor Carl E. Venstrom, who died last week.
Venstrom taught journalism and English from 1947 through 1984, when he retired. The 80-year-old professor also was the owner and publisher of the Rancho Reporter in El Toro from 1966 through 1971.
His family, friends and the college asks that donations be sent to the Carl E. Venstrom Memorial Scholarship Fund, Santa Ana College Foundation, 1530 W. 17th St., Santa Ana, 92706-3398.
Officials said the donations will be used to grant scholarships to Santa Ana College students.
