Deni Christensen, who began the girls’ basketball program at Aliso Niguel, has resigned to concentrate on her family.

Christensen said Thursday she considered resigning a year ago after adopting her first child, but had made a commitment to winning the league title within the school’s first five years. The Wolverines shared the Pacific Coast League title last season.

“I want to spend time with my one child, and we’re considering adopting a second child,” Christensen said. “That was the main impetus for my decision,”
