Mobile Unit to Pick Up Toxic Household Waste
The hazardous materials mobile unit will collect toxic household waste at Palisades High School today through Saturday.
The “hazmobile” is part of a waste collection program co-sponsored by the city and county departments of public works.
Hazardous household waste includes paint, motor oil, pesticides, cleaners and other common chemicals labeled toxic, corrosive, flammable or poison.
Collection will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parking lot behind the football stadium, 15777 Bowdoin St. Information: (800) 98TOXIC.
