Where Have All Angels Gone, Long Time Batting?

Share

So many former Angels in Sunday’s box scores batted so well, they continue to remind me of the annual agony Angel fans put up with, especially at this time of the year. It seems to me management has not done their jobs well; particularly since the trading deadline.

In one of your future articles could Ross Newhan kindly refresh my memory on what the Angels got for the following:

J.T. Snow: three for four, two-run homer.

Dante Bichette: two for three.

Greg Myers: two for three, homer.

Chad Curtis: two for three.

Lee Stevens: two for five.

Not to mention Damion Easley, who is having a career year, Devon White, Wally Joyner, Mark McLemore and I am sure I have left some out. Did the Angels receive value for these players?

Isn’t it a great honor that Jim Fregosi’s [Angel] uniform has been retired? And isn’t it sad that he will join the other “honored” retired numbers prominently displayed over the bathrooms 200 feet behind the left-field fence? I guess there isn’t enough room on the outfield fence between the Budweiser and Food-4-Less signs.
