Magical fantasies come true in Biggleland; going deep with Shark Sunday; Red Chief’s big ransom surprise.

In Kidsongs: Adventures in Biggleland (KCET-TV Channel 28, Sunday at 7 a.m.), the kids travel via magic ring to meet their fantasy friends, Billy and Ruby Biggle. The mountainside town features candy-colored trees and cobblestone streets, and the toy store blows soap bubbles out of its rooftop. For ages 2 to 6.

A special presentation of “Discovery Kids” focus on the ocean’s most notable predators: sharks. It’s Super Shark Sunday (Discovery Channel, Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon), full of such facts as a shark’s skeleton “is squishy like the human nose,” and “more people are killed by bee stings than sharks each year.” For ages 6 to 12.

At the turn of the century, two hapless but harmless hobos kidnap a nine-year-old boy in The Ransom of Red Chief (ABC, Sunday at 7 p.m.). Andy is the the richest kid in town but he’s a handful: The boy’s father tells the kidnappers that he wants them to pay him to take Andy back. For the family.

The animated series Animal Crackers (Fox Family Channel, Saturday at 7:30 a.m.) makes its debut and takes a look at the hilarious animal hijinks at the Freeborn Wildlife Preserve. The critters include a pizza-loving lion, an insecure elephant and a lioness in hunt for a suitable mate. For ages 2 to 6.

In Daffy Duck’s Quackbusters (Cartoon Network, Saturday at 8 p.m.; repeats Sunday at 10 a.m.), Daffy inherits $1 million and uses it to start a ghost-busting business with his friends Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig. For ages 2 and up.
