Wisconsin 57, Pepperdine 51--The Waves used an 11-2 run, spurred by nine points from David Lalazarian, to tie the game at 47-47 with 2:15 left, but the Badgers (9-1) made 10 of 12 free throws down the stretch to win at Madison, Wis.

Lalazarian scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half after Wisconsin (9-1) led by as many 14 in the first half.

Pepperdine (5-3) was outscored, 29-8, from the free-throw line. Sean Mason was the Badgers’ leading scorer with 17 points by making 14 of 15 foul shots.

Loyola Marymount 71, Pacific 62--Tim Kennedy, snapping out of a shooting slump, scored 22 points and grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds to lead the Lions (4-4) past the visiting Tigers (4-2).

Kennedy was four for 31 over the previous three games.

Loyola took a 23-6 lead as Pacific made only one of their first 23 shots. Pacific shot 25% and made only 11 of a school-record 40 three-point shots.

Brigham Young 84, Cal State Northridge 78--The Matadors (6-3) shot 36.6% from the field and made only 16 of 33 free throws as they lost to BYU in the championship game of the Cougar Classic at Provo.

It was Northridge’s first loss after five wins in a row.

Brian Heinle led the Matadors with 18 points and made the all-tournament team.
