Barwick, Penn Pace Notre Dame Over Burbank

K.K. Barwick had 21 points and sophomore forward Sheila Penn had two points and 15 rebounds, and Notre Dame High improved to 7-1 with a 47-36 nonleague victory over Burbank on Monday at Burbank.

Sierra Hauser-Price had six steals and seven rebounds for Notre Dame.

Amy Ivey scored nine points for Burbank, which fell to 2-5.

L.A. Baptist 45, Fillmore 34--Ali Morrow had 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Kelly Feirfeil had 11 points and six rebounds for host L.A. Baptist in a nonleague game.

Burroughs 64, Bell-Jeff 25--Nadiyah Roberson came off the bench to score 17 points, including 12 in the third quarter, to lead Burroughs in a nonleague game at Bell-Jeff.

Vanessa Menchaca added 16 points for the Indians (4-3).

Providence 70, L.A. Lutheran 21--Cathleen Reuter had 10 of her 24 points in the first quarter and Kary Vander Borght had eight of her 10 points in the second quarter for the Pioneers (1-1) in a first-round game of the Providence tournament.

Reuter scored 18 points in the first half, helping the Pioneers to a 40-6 advantage.

Campbell Hall 72, St. Genevieve 24--Emily Abrams had 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven steals and teammate Faith Scher had 16 points in first-round game of the Providence tournament.

Noel Kouwenhoven had 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Lena Carew had 11 points and 15 rebounds for Campbell Hall (4-2).

Milken 33, Oakwood 22--Lauren Grifka had 18 points and Michelle Levian had 11 for Milken (5-1) in the opening round of the Providence tournament.

Grace Brethren 39, Pacific Hills 28--Natalia Durso had 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Crystal Roberts had 13 points for host Grace Brethren (3-3) in a nonleague game.

Glendale Adventist 50, Lancaster Desert Christian 35--Lakisha Campbell had 18 points and Yoly Salazar added 16 points for the Cougars(5-1) in a nonleague victory at Glendale Adventist.

Southwestern Academy 41, West Valley Christian 15--Ashley Alderman had 10 points for West Valley Christian (0-4) in a nonleague game at Southwestern Academy.
