* “El Vez’s Mex-Mas Show” at the Troubadour, Sunday. Few things warm the soul as much as great entertainment and smart political statements. * Palladium. Stu & Lou’s “Schmoozepalooza,” Dec. 24. Becoming an annual Jewish event, this year’s fifth annual party--often called the Matzo Ball--will bounce to the sounds of Disco Inferno, so throw on those retro duds, dudes. * Crashing Christmas Parties (currently playing everywhere). This is the one time of the year the industry isn’t uptight about guest lists, so party onward. (A sure-fire bet is the House of Blues, which is throwing three “Open Office Parties” for those without jobs. * Sugar. When your honey needs a little Sugar, try this brand-spanking-new nightclub (at the old Kingston 12) brought to you by Red’s David Reiss.
