Woman Dies in Mobile Home Fire
A Meiners Oaks woman died Sunday night in a fire that destroyed her mobile home, authorities said.
The fire broke out shortly after 8 p.m. in the Ojai Valley mobile home where Teresa Bullis, a senior citizen, had lived for more than 20 years, said Lois Wilson, resident manager of the Golden Oaks Mobile Estates on Rice Road.
“It was fully engulfed by the time anybody in the park even saw it,” Wilson said.
“They heard the windows pop-bang and looked out. . . . They could see the flames shooting out through the roof.”
Investigators were looking into the cause of the blaze, said a spokeswoman for the Ventura County Fire Department.
