* BRIGHAM YOUNG (4-6) at UC IRVINE (2-5), 7 p.m., KUCI-FM (88.9)--Two solid performances by Irvine were washed away in a 71-57 loss to James Madison on Sunday. The Anteaters looked as if they had never seen a zone, making only 35% their shots. Their two top scorers had off days. Forward Ben Jones was three for 13 from the field and guard Jerry Green two for nine. Guard Zamiro Bennem had his best game, scoring 16 points, and forward Adam Stetson (10 points) was solid in his return from a torn tendon in his left foot. Like Irvine, BYU relies on freshmen guards Mark Bigelow (17 points a game) and Michael Vranes (10 points a game). Bret Jepsen, a 6-foot-11 center, sat out four games because of a concussion but made five of six shots and scored 13 points against California on Saturday.
