Boller Narrows Choice of College

Kyle Boller, the heavily recruited Hart High quarterback, said Tuesday he will attend Oregon or California.

Boller visited Oregon last week and said he was impressed. The Ducks don’t have an experienced returning quarterback, creating an immediate playing opportunity for Boller.

Boller said he will make his final recruiting visit to California on Jan. 15. He is waiting to see who the Bears hire as offensive coordinator. He has canceled a trip to Colorado.

The All-Southern Section quarterback also visited Florida State last week, but said he preferred the two Pacific 10 Conference schools because they are closer to home.

Boller set a state passing record this season with 4,841 yards.
