The City Council is mulling what issues will be a priority for the coming year. Four of the five council members have submitted their top five 1999 goals. All four agree that they want to complete the downtown redevelopment project and determine the city’s future sphere of influence. Three also agreed that creating a safe city is a top priority. The council will consider the proposed goals again Jan. 5. Mayor Marty Siminoff will announce the goals to the public Jan. 19.
