Parker Jarvis, a junior at Dana Hills High, is one of eight goalkeepers who were invited to the U.S. Junior National soccer team tryouts, his father, Skip, said Monday. Jarvis, who plays with the San Juan United soccer club, could qualify for the under-17 or under-20 squad. Jarvis will leave Thursday for the five-day tryout in Pensacola, Fla.

Sunny Hills offensive tackle/defensive end Paul Rohdenburg has signed with St. Mary’s. Rohdenburg, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound team captain, was first-team All-Freeway League.
