Interchange Is City’s Top Budget Priority
The city’s top priority for the 1998-99 budget is to complete the design of the Vista Hermosa Interchange at Interstate 5, City Council members said at a special meeting this week.
Every year, council members meet to plan and identify key issues facing the city and set goals for the 1998-99 fiscal year.
This year, council members cited six key priorities: establishing a business park expansion program; studying impacts of the Foothill Transportation Corridor; restoring the historic Casa Romantica; designing bicycle and walking trails from north beach to T Street; and funding a city organizational study.
A proposal by the parks and recreation department to allow dogs on leashes in three city parks was placed at the bottom of the priorities list.
