Squad Contains Several Olympians

The Kings don’t have a player in this season’s NHL All-Star Game but they could have six players in next month’s Olympics.

Rob Blake (Canada), Jozef Stumpel (Slovakia), Mattias Norstrom (Sweden), Vladimir Tsyplakov (Belarus) and Aki Berg (Finland) have been named to their respective national teams and Olli Jokinen has a strong chance of being added to Finland after his performance in the World Junior Championships earlier this month.

“Olli played great . . . I think he will [be added to the team],” Berg said about Jokinen, the Kings’ top pick in last year’s draft.
