Todd, Yachmenev Lead Ice Dogs

Kevin Todd, on loan from the Mighty Ducks, and Vitali Yachmenev, on loan from the Kings, each scored two goals to lead the Ice Dogs to a 4-2 victory over the Las Vegas Thunder in an International Hockey League game played before 6,421.

The victory moved the Ice Dogs (30-15-6) to within one point of first-place Houston in the Southwest Division.

In the second period, the Ice Dogs scored three consecutive goals to take a 4-1 lead, with Todd scoring his second of the night and third of the year at 8:32. Yachmenev’s two goals, his 13th and 14th, came in a 3:15 span midway through the period.
